FAQ
Is my content uploaded to a server?
No. QR generation happens entirely inside your browser — the link or text you type never leaves your device. The server only receives an anonymous usage counter (content type, length, format, coarse country) when you download or copy.
Do the QR codes expire or have usage limits?
Never. Your content is encoded into the QR image itself (a static QR code), so it keeps working even if this site disappears. Generate as many as you like, free, including commercial use.
Which file format should I use for print?
Use SVG. It is a vector format, so edges stay razor-sharp at any size — from business cards to large banners — and print shops can place it directly into Illustrator artwork. PNG is convenient for web pages and documents.
How do I choose an error correction level?
The default M (15% recovery) suits most uses. Choose Q or H for outdoor prints that may get dirty or scratched, and L when your content is long and you need maximum capacity. Higher levels make the QR denser.
Where is my recent history stored?
Only in your browser's localStorage (up to 20 items). Nothing is stored on a server, so history does not sync across devices, and you can delete items individually or clear everything at once.
Can I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Yes. Open the Wi-Fi tab, enter the network name and password, and scanning the code joins the network directly — no typing. The password is encoded into the image on your device and never uploaded. Works with the built-in camera on iPhone and Android — see the Wi-Fi QR guide for printing ideas.
