Privacy Policy

qrcode.typrun.com (the "Service") is built on data minimization. This policy explains what the Service does not collect, and the little it does.

01What we do not collect

• The links or text you encode into QR codes — generation happens entirely inside your browser. Your content is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.
• Personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers — the Service has no accounts and no sign-up.
• Generated QR image files — downloads are produced directly on your device.

02What we collect (anonymous usage statistics)

To understand how the Service is used, we record the following anonymous items only at the moment you download or copy a QR code:

• Content type (link or text), character count, error correction level, output format (SVG/PNG/copy), and PNG size
• A daily-rotating IP hash — it cannot be reversed to your IP address and is used only to count daily unique visitors. The original IP address is not stored.
• Browser type (a truncated User-Agent string)

Statistics are automatically deleted 180 days after they are recorded.

03Browser storage (localStorage)

The "Recent" feature keeps up to 20 generation records in your browser's localStorage. This data exists only on your device and is never sent to a server. You can remove items individually, clear them all with one click, or wipe them via your browser's site-data settings at any time.

04Advertising and cookies

The Service may display Google AdSense advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and manage third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info. Advertising cookies are managed by the ad vendors; the Service itself does not collect or retain them.
